New Neighbors

good-sand-dunesThey say that good fences make good neighbors. I hope that applies to sand dunes as well. I got new neighbors back in December. I met one of them. She seemed very nice. But I cannot tell, however, whether she and her partner (also female) are running a brothel or a haven for women. 🙂 What can I say? What she said to me was:

: we take care for girls
: new
: alone
: and so on
Ahuva: uh huh
Ahuva : wonderful
: all ages all kinds
: and we teach them
Ahuva: yes?
: we have boats
: plane s helikopters
: submarine
: and now we want a second place
: for to come to
: its more fun

So you tell me. What are they doing? In either case, they seem to like planes and speed boats and jetskis and such. If this were RL, I think I’d be extremely upset to have a landing strip next door to my house. But so far I have only been there once when a plane took off. I WAS going to get all nasty and snide about the red particle stream when I remembered my flights with Dark. They are wonderful. It would be really horrible if I couldn’t go flying with Dark (or fly my own plane) because some crabby neighbor complained all the time. So you know what? If I’m ever hanging out when they are landing or taking off – I’ll simply turn up the music and think pleasant flying thoughts. Now I DID have to eject an errant jetski but hey, everyone makes mistakes.

opening-the-channel-1The other somewhat awkward moment was when they first terraformed their property. They had blocked my access to the open water. But I simply widened the channel so that I can sail out should I ever rez my sailboat. The ducks don’t seem to be bothered too much.

such-atheletic-neighblorsIn any case, it appears that they are still trying to decide what they want there. Since I’m so rarely actually at my house anymore, it’s really not been an issue. And when I am home, I’m usually working on my scripts and oblivious to everything else. You’ll see my doors in these pictures. LOL. They were probably building that airstrip while I was standing right there and too absorbed to notice.

fueled-by-coffeeI just added a work area to my home. 🙂 I have a lot of scripting to get done PLUS a project for my RL job. Oh Wow!!! I am SO excited about that. This isn’t my volunteer work (free kitten (labor) to a good home in exchange for training/mentoring) but is actually within the scope of my official position. I am thrilled. Wish me luck!! So I needed some place to get some work done. I purchased a table and chairs for the pool area. I figure that will be a very pleasant place to work. And the coffee cup is never empty. 🙂

There's not much to say about me. I discovered SecondLife by accident, wandered in, and decided I wanted to stay. This blog was a chronicle of my adventures and misadventures in SL. It also includes stray thoughts that occur to me as a result of my time in SL. Both I and my avatar are female. We both love water and the beach and gardening and parties and hanging out with friends. Updating this after quite some time. I haven't appeared in SL in many many months (probably over a year by now) but SL has remained in my thoughts. I do miss my SL, but at least I still have contact with some of my friends from there. In the meantime.... this blog has evolved to be about my RL adventures. :) Nowhere near as risque as my SL but I do keep busy. I still like all the things listed above. I didn't have any cats in SL (only ducks and a panda) so my cats feel that they should play starring roles in my posts. :) I didn't do much eating IN SL although certainly food and drink accompanied me in RL while I roamed inworld. Cooking and baking have become more fun and interesting once I redid my kitchen. That renovation took longer and cost more than if I'd done it virtually, but I'm thrilled to have a tangible new kitchen! I hope you like food and drink as well! Thanks for reading!
