I went out yesterday and bought a second, IDENTICAL cat bed. I did this despite my weakness due to the continuing PND[*] syndrome from which I suffer. I came home weak, exhausted. I showed the new bed to WC repeatedly. My husband also took the bed and showed WC that we had bought her a brand new, uncontaminated, pristine bed. WC merely looked at us disdainfully. We tried putting it on a different chair – the one by the fireplace – for awhile. No one has even SNIFFED at the new bed. Not BC, and certainly not WC. Whatever the dynamics are among my cats, apparently a new bed will not remedy the problem. WC has retreated to the red couch in the sun room.
* post nasal drip 🙂
Meanwhile, BC is now in the older bed? Maybe it smells too new. Maybe you are trying to hard. Pretend you don’t care. She might decide she likes it despite herself. But yeah, it’s not her job to make life easy for you.
No, that’s GC. BC is not interested in the beds. I think it’s the lighting that made you think it was BC.
Definitely the lighting. I actually enlarged the photo trying to decide which cat it was. But it’s nice that now GC has the bed you originally intended for her, right? That might be progress. Whereas, progress in the case of WC = adding yet another thing for her to criticize.
I am laughing so hard. Maybe WC will use a bed eventually if we just ignore the new bed.
