As my recent posts indicate I am spending all MY time in the garden. That not only produces flowers for admiring, herbs for cooking but a hungry gardener as well. Of course being exhausted from laboring in the fields, I’m not up for much cooking. Good thing my husband is around. Here’s another concoction of his, feeding his starving wife. Chicken with onions, brussels sprouts, pasta and I think this one had a Thai sauce. 🙂 Yum. Or why I don’t lose weight.
OMG, this looks amazing. Except for the brussel sprouts. I recommend two changes: 1) green beans or even edamame instead of brussel sprouts. 2) Invite me to eat it next time!
*laughing* i don’t like edamame and I think green beans would change the texture. but i’ll pass your suggestions on to the chef.
I do not like edamame and I’m not a fan of green beans unless they’re either canned or cooked to death, so I vote to keep the yummy brussels sprouts IN the recipe. That looks SO GOOD!
My favorite veggies are brussels and asparagus.
I like green beans but I don’t think they are the right texture for this dish. I have a great recipe for brussels sprouts if you want it – it’s an Alston Brown recipe. It’s meant for grilling but I’ve modified it slightly for finishing up in the oven if I don’t have the grill going. Asparagus is okay if it’s skinny. *grin* I know, so judgemental, right? And actually I prefer it raw as a snack.
