We interrupt this blog for a word from our atomic avatar….
I’ve mentioned that I am Penn State Proud. Even though some have brought shame and dishonor to themselves and our school, the majority of us try to do right. No one can undo the pain and hurt that has been done. But some have tried to set up a way to at least ameliorate the pain and suffering of those who are harmed. ProudToBeAPennStater (a grassroots network of proud Penn State alumni, students, parents, and fans,) has broken the $500,000 mark in raising money for RAINN (the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network). I want to mention that it’s not just Penn Staters who have been contributing to this fund. The fans and students of other universities have expressed support for ProudToBeAPennStater through donations and letters to the local newspapers. To all of them I say Thank You. And to my fellow Penn Staters: When I say Nittany, you say Lion! 🙂
